According to police and footage of the incident, a jet-powered stunt truck spiraled out of control.
Due to which it crashed at an air show in Battle Creek, Michigan, killing the driver.
The driver of the shockwave jet truck accident, Chris Darnell, was 40 years old.
Chris Darnell performing at the festival Saturday at 1:10 p.m.
He was driving his jet truck over the runway at Battle Creek Executive Airport at a speed of over 300 mph.
Two stunt planes were hovering over Chris Darnell at the time of the accident.
There was no damage to those stunt planes.
Police did not provide further details about Chris Darnell's death.
Battle Creek Police and Federal Aviation Administration officials are investigating the accident.
After the incident, Saturday's air show was canceled.
